The longest waiting game in political history may be over this week. Biden is reportedly going to decide by next week. 2/3 "inside" sources say he will be running.

People have been saying "next week, next week" for months now.

If he wasn't going to run, he would have stated that the first time he was asked way back when.
He has known all along he was going to run.

Bob..

I like Biden, but it seems to me that if it's taking him this long to decide, he doesn't have that fire in the belly drive that's necessary to go the distance in a long presidential campaign.

Just as calguy said, If he wasn't running he would have said so. He is running and he is just gauging the Hillary implosion. Biden will be the nominee.

No, that's not true. He's been grieving his son so the thought of running for president has taken a back seat. But he knows he has to decide soon.

That's the impression that I've gotten too. I think big-money donors are a big part of the equation. They're looking for an electable backup to Hillary, and they've kind of pushed Biden into doing it. I doubt he would have ran had it not been for Hillary's bad polling and Sanders' surge.

If Biden doesn't announce before the debate, he is done.

IMO, He is being put into the race to knock out Bernie Sanders. If Biden enters the race, expect him to withdraw once this is done.

King Hillary absolutely can't afford to have another loss in Iowa and putting Biden on ticket is insurance this won't happen.

(of course it's just strategY)

I doubt he would do much damage at all to Bernie Sanders. Polls show Biden supporters would support Hillary if he doesn't run. If anything, his campaign would ensure a loss in Iowa for Clinton. Maybe even 3rd place...
