Biden better hurry up. His supporters will get bored and leave camp Biden if he doesn't make a concrete decision.

Maybe he's generating hype for a Super Bowl halftime announcement?

He is taking too long. I remember reading an article about supporters wno were holding out for him getting tired of it and switching to Hillary back in August. His heart clearly is in it.

I'm really surprised how well is polling. While he's likable and well qualified, he just never seemed to have a presidential aura. But perhaps I was wrong. He's polling better against the Republicans than Hilary. It looks like a tough slog for him because she's still way ahead in terms of getting the nomination:

"After blowing past his original end-of-summer target to decide on a presidential run, Biden is approaching hard deadlines he cannot miss. Beginning in early November, the window starts closing in some states for candidates to get their name on the ballot, including places that would presumably be on any path to victory for the vice president...Four states have November deadlines, according to a tentative list of filing requirements provided to MSNBC by a Democratic source. They begin with a 5 p.m. cutoff on Friday, Nov. 6 in Alabama and continue with deadlines in Arkansas three days later, Michigan on Nov. 17, and Florida at the end of month. Alabama in particular could set Biden’s timetable, since it has the earliest deadline of any state and requires candidates to submit 500 signatures and a $2,500 filing fee, both of which would require at least some time and money to assemble."

I've been suggesting he's trying to wuss out this one, with his delay calculated to allow windows (e.g. filing deadlines, fundraising opportunities) to close, then he can say it's too late to run now.

Waiting for Biden to make a decision is like waiting for Godot.

I personally don't think he is gonna run. At this point it will be a waste of money. He is not gonna win. All he's gonna do is split the vote but it will not be enough to make Sanders win the election so his participation will be a complete waste of time. Pointless.

Sanders fans are not gonna vote for Biden. Minorities are not gonna vote for Biden. Biden please stay home where you belong.

Biden only has 16 days before the deadline for appearing on a ballot in Georgia expires:

Georgia comes first when the state party committee meets on Oct. 29 to decide who will appear on the ballot.

Speculation aside, if he were to enter the race, Biden would have several disadvantages:

1) Behind in the money race

2) Behind in the ground game/infrastructure/organization

3) Can't really distance himself from the Obama administration policies when convenient

So it's really unlikely he'll run, and the metrics for him being able to sustain a race don't look good.

If Biden isn't running, Obama will back O'Malley.
