Fails? I don't know what you mean. Fails to get the nomination? Runs as an independent with Carson as his VP choice.

I don't think the people that support Trump care if he identifies within a strict set of beliefs set by one party or the other. I don't see how he could be a Democrat and not support abortion or enforcing immigration law because that is pretty much the platform that a Democrat concentrates on. I know, they call "abortion", "women's health", not if the baby aborted is a little girl. Illegal immigration, everyone here knows what I think about that.

I actually think none of the Republican candidates hold strongly to the original values of their party. Supporting illegal immigration, a "pathway" to anything other than their country of origin is nothing but liberal.

Trump continues to do well and after the Dem debate, what a hoot, I think many Dems are probably looking outside the party so a more liberal Republican could end up looking mighty refreshing.

They will find another conservative celebrity to support. The birther crowd will always will find some candidate to support their bigotry. Politicians know those are easy votes. All you to do is have an agenda of hatred. Maybe George Zimmerman will be a good choice.

Trump against abortion? To begin with Trump has not been against abortion all of his life. To continue he still agrees with abortion in some cases and finally many democrats don't support abortion, especially those cases were is practically being used as a birth control method.

Many people don't vote based on abortion alone. I know I don't because I am ok with most positions as long as the candidate is not against abortion in cases of rape or if the live of the mother is in jeopardy. If conservatives really cared about abortion, Trump wouldn't have so many supporters among them. Conservatives only care if their candidate hates another group of people, that's why Trump who has socialist ideas is so popular among them. The minute he questioned Obama's birth certificate that's when his popularity increased. Then calling Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals sealed the deal. It's funny because conservatives complained for years about Obamacare, and now Trump wants to offer free healthcare for everyone. Are any of them wondering how the US is gonna pay for this like they did with Obama? I don't think so.

Republicans are supposed to be the party of fiscal conservatives, not the party of crazies with unrealistic social agendas.

I'd say he's a Trumpist and an opportunist.
