If you read the actual law, it contains language that PROHIBITS the state Attorney General and all District Attorneys from prosecuting anyone illegal who votes, illegally, if they were registered via the DMV. The law even applies in cases where a person ends up being a multiple offender.

Obviously it is a strategy to deal with the likelihood of Donald Trump getting the republican nomination for president. With his stance on deporting illegals, this will help the democrats tremendously. It won't stop in California. Watch for other brown states to follow.

Since you no longer have to be a resident to vote, can canadians vote in our elections? Germans??? Why not?

Will be harder to control who votes: the bill does not say, anywhere, illegals can not only get drivers lisences but can vote. Of course CA is always going to go left (at least in the near future) so it probably makes little or no difference. This is just another reason I am glad we no longer live in Ca.

What are you talking about? Mr. Trump has said confidently that he is going to win the Hispanic vote, and he is always right. Governor Brown is trying to steer the election towards Mr. Trump. Democrats will be very upset.

No, but a Canadian-until-2014 is running as a POTUS candidate, so . . . .
