When the biggest news a political party has going on is who they are not running for president, you know you have a political party that's in a lot of trouble.
Obama and Biden, looked tired, whipped and out of touch while Biden had to explain why he won't be answering the calls of the anti-Hillary crowd to run for president, It's a metaphor for the Democrats at this point.
But no matter. They are lame ducks & history. Bill and Hillary are running things now. So will the Clintons revive the DNC or will they continue to drive it completely into the ground?
The GOP has a bloviating egomaniacal fool and an book smart idiot as their two front runners, and they hold the majority in the House yet not a single party member wants to step into the the role of Speaker, third in line to the president, to lead and the party, and the OP thinks the DNC is running aground?
That, my friends, is what is known as projecting your own weaknesses onto your opponents. Funny stuff.
I can't decide which debate would be more fun -- Trump or Carson vs. Clinton. She'd eat both of them alive. Neither one can really identify and keep separate all the countries in the Middle East. Carson suggested setting up Palestine in Egypt. And that's only talking about foreign affairs. They are both clueless on bills, how the Senate and Congress work, etc.
We have to define what winning is, seeing as people thought Donald won both Republican Debates.
I'd answer this way. People who hated the Republican establishment thought Trump won, not so much for what he was, but what he wasn't. My question is after the dust settles with either Trump or Carson nominated, and both parties bases of 47% or so supporting Trump/Carson or Clinton, how comfortable will the GOP faithful be with either one debating Clinton for a series of one on one debates lasting for 1 to 2 hours each, trying to persuade the few persuadable voters (5 to 7%) that will decide the election.
I can't see either Trump or Carson doing very well debating her, at least on substance, and insulting her or basically being a horse's *ss (Trump, not Carson) wouldn't work that well either against the first female candidate. If either is nominated, the GOP probably has to hope that they're leading by enough that debates aren't a factor.

Does it really matter as only approx. a 1/5th of the population watched the 2012 debate and I don't think that changed anyone's minds on who they would vote for. Probably more people vote for color, looks, charisma and what you can give me than actually what this nominee can do for this country and our future.
