After endorsing Hilllary in the Democratic primaries, the NYT gave Kasich an unenthusiastic endorsement for the Republican primaries while trashing the rest of the GOP field.

From the NYT - "Gov. John Kasich of Ohio, though a distinct underdog, is the only plausible choice for Republicans tired of the extremism and inexperience on display in this race. And Mr. Kasich is no moderate. As governor, he’s gone after public-sector unions, fought to limit abortion rights and opposed same-sex marriage."

It's the usual, tired drivel from the NYT and does Kasich no favors. For anyone interested: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/31/op...race.html?_r=0

kiss of death.....the NYT is a joke! a nest of far left liberals running that newspaper.

NYT is always for the democrat party establishment....they endorsed Hillary over Obama in 2008 and now endorses her again over Bernie.

The New York Times endorsement for ANY U.S. candidate for POTUSA, Clearly....Is more DAMNING for said candidate, Kasich, than an endorsement from Putin would be.

Kasich picked the wrong party to run in.

If Kasich is not mortified by this, he certainly should be. In case he was waiting for a kiss of death, surely he has gotten it here.

He really didn't - just because he doesn't come across like a screaming banshee - doesn't mean he's not conservative.

He's certainly no liberal.

Kasich is a mixed bag. All I know is, there were far too many issues that I didn't agree with him on.

I'm sure the other Republican candidates are glad they weren't chosen.

As a conservative or republican, having the NY times endorse you is the last thing you would want. NY times is nothing more than a left wing liberal rag. Kasich must be very embarrassed by this.
