They were runner-ups in the 2008 and 2012 primaries, losing only to the nominees John McCain and Mitt Romney, but in this election cycle, there is not much noise about them.

No one is interested in being led by the religious right at this time. No one but the evangelicals and they are flocking to Trump and/or Cruz.

Huckabee, Santorum and Cruz all share the same base and Cruz was able to get them.

I think, like Bush, they've been out of office too long. And both were losers in the stricter literal sense of the word, the last time they ran.

Because a larger than life candidate is sucking all the oxygen out of the room.

These two have struggled but there are other accomplished candidates struggling as well (Bush, Fiorina, Christie, Kasich). They have not been able to find a way to break through the Trump-noise. Rubio and Cruz still have a chance. None of the rest have a chance.

Labeling Jeb!, Fiorina, and Christie as accomplished brings a whole new meaning to the word, unless your definition of accomplished includes bullying, religious strong arming, destruction of entire companies, offshoring of jobs, self aggrandizement, and selection of wholly unqualified policy and management teams.

They have always been underwhelming. Neither has ever had a chance to actually become President. The country reached "peak theocracy" a long time ago.
