That is what they said about Ronald Reagan, until he got the nod, to actually debate Jimmy Carter.

It will be the same deal, when Ted debates Hillary for all to see. She is praying it is Donald Trump she debates.

Cruz, Trump, and Sanders. They're all one in the same. By far the most popular, but by far too extreme.

If a party makes one of them their nominee, that party will not win the General.

If the Dems elect Sanders and Repubs Elect Cruz or Trump, America is going to be a sh*tshow.

The Dems would be missing the days of GWB and the Repubs would be longing for the days of Obama.

You have absolutely no way of knowing that right now. All speculation. You know, the same speculation that said Trump and Hillary would easily win Iowa tonight. Oops.

The way things are shaping up, if it's heads we lose, if it's tails we lose. It really doesn't matter who wins what nomination for what party. Nobody running is a good candidate. Add to that a continued weak economy going in, anyone who wins the election is going to get blamed for the next recession, which is due, just about the time of the election. If you think that interest rates have been held low for so long because the economy is great, then I have some land in south louisiana to sell you with water rights.

All his democrat opponent has to do now is roll the clips where he's telling Iowans to "awaken the body of Christ that we may pull back from the abyss." Nationally, he's not electable.

Wrong...

RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - General Election: Cruz vs. Clinton

He would eat Hillary alive in a one on one debate. Her handlers would have to throw in the towel. She can barely hold her own with an old man who agreed to go easy on her. Cruz would destroy her.

Iowa doesn't mean much. The evangelical favorite always wins Iowa no matter who end up winning nationally. The voter turnout heavily skews towards right-wing evangelicals in Iowa.

As for the general election, I think if Sanders wins the Democratic nomination, he is a shoe-in. If Hillary wins, I think her trustworthy issues may pose a problem for her especially with swing voters, allowing the GOP to squeak by. Issue for Cruz is he's too much of a religious radical. Most of the nation doesn't want a theocracy.

Big cities? In Iowa? It's biggest city is half the size of Bakersfield. A cowtown in the CA central valley.

In my opinion, I think even Trump or Rubio have a better chance of being elected president than Cruz does. I just can't imagine the majority of Americans choosing to vote for such a MASSIVE JESUS FREAK as Cruz to become POTUS.

If America does this, then we will be going backwards instead of forwards. Seriously its hard for me to fathom that most Americans would want such a stupidly crazy religious nut as Cruz to be running one of the world's most powerful nations with the world's most powerful military. I just refuse to believe most of America would want a person like that to be in the Whitehouse.

Ted Cruz is already way ahead. The pollsters were telling lies to try and undermine his campaign by saying he was at least 3 points behind Donald Tramp. Cruz ended up 4 points ahead. This was the worst thing that could have happened to those who didn't want Cruz to win. Now Cruz will probably win more.
