Rubio has since tried to distance himself from the gang of 8. However, Chuck Schumer has said that no one forced Rubio to join and that he was an active member of the group.

Also, Rubio wants to increase the number of H1-B visas. Never mind that this visa program is riddled with fraud and corruption to the point where it's now being used to deliberately replace experienced Americans with visa holders. When Disney did just that (in Rubio's state), Rubio was silent. Where was his concern for his constituents?

And then there is Rubio's dismal attendance record in the senate. Apparently, he decided that he hates being a senator so he barely goes to work. Imagine deciding that you hated your job and stopping going to work. No company would give you a salary for that.
Every time Rubio gets asked a question about his amnesty bill, he talks about Obama's foreign policy or ISIS. He never gives a straight answer and no one holds him accountable for that.

He is very good at deflecting and talking about Obama, Hillary, or his father the bartender. If I thought Hillary or Bernie had any chance, I would be supporting him. But Hillary's voice is like nails on a chalkboard, she has multiple felonies and an indictment is looking more likely. There is no way she will win the general election, against anyone. And if Bernie wins, he will get destroyed in the general election. Democratic Socialism is not going to sell in America. I think the reason we had 17 candidates on the Republican side is because the candidates recognize that the Democratic nominee in 2016 will be the least competitive of our lifetime.

Hate is a strong word. I will NEVER vote for him, even if it is him vs. Hillary. I would go third party.

He looks, talks, and acts like a teacher's pet, and has been called the Republican party's savior. Yeah right.

As such a predictable character like Rubio, he is certainly unpredictable when it comes to immigration. In the primary, his experimentation with legalization has been an issue of loyalty to the republican base. If he makes it to the general, it will be a character issue.

When he ran for Senate, he said he opposed citizenship for undocumented immigrants, when he got to the Senate, he then changed his story and wrote a bill that supported citizenship for undocumented immigrants. when his presidential ambitions were then threatened by a conservative revolt, he renounced his own bill.

No, I don't think so.

All of the candidates in both parties have major flaws. You could make the case that there is no way ANY of them will win the general election. However, someone will win. It's foolish to say "no way she will win" about Hillary when she is probably the most likely candidate to win....warts and all.

Trumpets are willing to cut off the nose to spite the face. What they don't understand is that illegal immigration would be MUCH worse under Clinton or Sanders than it would be under Rubio. Analysis has shown that Trump fans aren't the most intelligent people, and their lack of foresight seems to confirm that.

Exactly! And Obama will bring more legal refugees from Syria which I think will be worst. But there was a group survey on Fox and people like the positive message from Rubio.
While I think with Rubio and the Republicans in both house, there might be some law to stem the flow. If the illegals can't work here, less will be coming. The big reason they decide to come because they think they can get benefits and work here.

Electability. Polls well with independents, women, younger demographic. The only Republican candidate to consistently out poll Sanders and Clinton. The Dims are very concerned about a Rubio candidacy. Two, potentially three justices to be nominated by the next President.

I want electability from the red candidate. That is my one and only criterion.

It's sad and pathetic, but that's becoming my first priority now, as I'm so scared
for our country with another Dem in charge.

Also, Rubio seems less committed to getting us involved with a ME war.
I am concerned with his lack of experience and accomplishments, but that could be helped if he picks a good VP and cabinet.

I still haven't picked, but am swaying toward Rubio now.

Not only that, but Rubio has the ability to bring Conservative ideals to new demographic segments that other Republicans simply cannot.
