...this is the dems biggest fear: they cannot match the impressive turnout of the Obama elections. It's also why they are doubling down on pandering to the black vote, both to beat each other in the primary and ultimately to try to drive turnout in the general.

The thing to remember about 2008 was that it was a three pony show so you had 3 instead of two candidates driving turnout. That said- Iowa should be a concern for team D. Hillary actually spent a lot of time and resources maximizing her vote so for the decline their to be so brutal does not bode well in the general. I think NH is more in line with a narrow group of candidates and wildly divergent candidates on the Republican side attracting attention.
