In order to destabilize something it would first have to be stable. Just WHEN has that been the case with the ME? The foolishness began at least as early as 1952 with the Iran coup and no doubt much earlier than that.

Iraq, Syria, and Libya were completely stable until we bombed them to smithereens.

Iraq was contained, but hardly a stable state. Syria was in a full multi-actor full civil war before we got involved, and Gaddafi was bombing his own people in attempts to prevent an overthrow. That;s not excuse our involvement in any of those, especially Iraq and Libya, but you could never say that they stable until we bombed them
At this time, we all believe that Trump's agenda is non-intervention to foreign affairs. There are many Russian experts believe that Trump will retreat from Syria even Iraq.
How do you think about non-intervention ideology? I am sure that many chickenhawk will be disappointed.
Now you know exactly why Mr. Putin is a fan. . . . though they may also share an affinity for young Czech women with questionable immigration status and an ability to think about baseball in bed.
"We're not doing very much," he said. "I would increase the frequency of the bombing (of ISIS) like you wouldn't believe."
He said he wants U.S. troops on the ground in Syria, but more importantly, "I want other countries to get on the ground fighting ISIS."
Don't forget 'taking the oil.' Sounds interventionist to me.
He is now collecting 'consultants' to develop his foreign policy for him as he apparently has no idea what it is.
He never has supported Troops on the ground. Bomb the **** out of them is just rhetoric, he has said he wants to step aside and let Russia waste money fighting ISIS which Graham and Bush mocked him for. In Ukraine he says to let Germany work it out with Russia and keep the US out of it. With North Korea he would push China to deal with them.
