I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side … Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.
—Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS)
I predict the democrats come here a tell us that this is not the same thing as Trump, and they would be correct. Hillary is singing the praises of a racist, and called him her mentor, while Trump said he would look into the groups before denouncing them.
You people are being too goofy about the KKK issue. No one with any real sense cares about it. Do you really think Hillary muses late at night, " oh goody, the KKK likes me" ?
In 2005 he said, "I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times ...and I don't mind apologizing over and over again. I can't erase what happened."

While I agree with you that all of this KKK stuff with Trump, and Hillary is overblown, turnaround is fair play.

You used a quote from 1946.
I will offer up a quote from 2005.
"I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America." Senator Robert C Byrd
Hillary knew Senator Byrd when he felt intolerance had no place in America.
Your patent attempt to mislead people is dishonest in the extreme.

Thank you. He did apologize over and over. I can tell you he is a beloved figure in WV despite his flaws.

Oh yes, it doesn't count because he's a reformed racists...too funny.
It would seem that this guy is Hillary's mentor, change your views when the wind changes directions, like a true slimy politician.
