It's now impossible for Ted Cruz to reach 1237. So where's his announcement that he is going to withdraw from the race?

i.e. They don't call him Lyin' Ted Cruz for nothing.

You can essentially take the label "Lyin" and put it in front of 99% of all politicians...regardless of party affiliation. So shame on any American that believes half the stuff that politicians say...especially if it "benefits" you.

I think Kasich should be VP and Cruz should be Supreme Court nominee.

Sure, it's "THEIR" party of course, what the majority of people want/vote for in states that allow primary voting doesn't count, we got that loud and clear. Wheeling and dealing is the name of the game in a contested primary. The voice of the majority? Stay away!

But if trump has the most delegates in the end which sounds like he easily will and doesn't get the nomination, with so many people paying attention this election cycle, I think the Republican party will guarantee a loss in 2016 as they are going to tick off a bunch of truly passionate people for a candidate in that party that many say hasn't occurred in a generation. And will lose voters permanently for a generation. A window into what backs up this conclusion:

NY GOP exit poll: Over 70 percent say candidate with most primary votes should be nominee | TheHill

So long for the voice of the people huh?

Cruz DOES NOT TALK ABOUT DEMOCRACY. Cruz is apparently the only candidate in this race that understands that America is a Representative Republic and NOT A DEMOCRACY. Yeah, I am shouting.

People who believe that America is a Democracy, should be required to live in a country that IS a democracy.

Good Lord how our public schools have failed us. It has produced people who are completely ignorant of our history and our government. In other words, it has produced all the Trump, Clinton, Bernie voters.

We truly get the government we deserve. And it looks like we are on the road to serfdom with the lack of understanding the current slew of uninformed voters this cycle.

No one calls Cruz "lyin" but Donald and his fan base. It's nothing more than projection by Donald and his sychophantic followers, though.

its all part of the procedure to win the nomination. if trump cant get to 1237 on the first ballot, then we have a brokered convention, and at that point cruz, kaisich, as well as rubio, all have a shot at winning the nomination on the second or subsequent ballots. we still have the voice of the people, they just didnt speak loud enough.

Nonsense. The voice of the people is discarded in this scenario and the money/influence/voice of a few take over. And the "procedure" from square one clearly states the party picks the candidate and the primary voters can be ignored at any time.

And just because this is the "procedure" doesn't make it right/serves the will of the people. Many in the herd accept it as such as "oh well, the way it is" and most importantly feel it is therefore ok.

Actually, Kasich helped Cruz in NY. So far NY is THE ONLY STATE, Trump has received over 50%.

If he can keep Donald from 1237, Cruz has over 100 more delegates than Trump, for that all important 2nd vote.

You see, it is set up like that, because at the beginning and all the way to the convention. one guy may not be getting 55%-60% of the vote. And for a candidate in the running to not get over 50% of the vote the majority of the time, says a majority like someone else and not him.
We got Woodrow Wilson in a 3 way. The worst of the worst gets the nod, with less than 40% support, when the other 2 running are very similar and their combined support is 60%.

The convention is where this all plays out. He who has the grassroots ground game, beats he who has all the money every time, unless they are one and the same..

Kasich is looking a VP, no matter who gets the nod(which the 2nd vote is going to happen)

A Pentecostal religious fundamentalist should not be on the Supreme Court. Period.

The US Constitution, not snake bites, should determine the outcome of cases.
