This article is from May.

It says Trump could get 15% of the black vote in Ohio. Trump is currently polling at zero percent in Ohio. ZERO.

Just not seeing any of those 'inroads'.

How many years are you willing to wait for the Democratic party deliver you from poverty? It's been 60 years. Everything they have touched has turned into a disaster. Look at public housing. The pictures look more like concentration camps and yet they are embraced by blacks. Hillary will be one more in the long line of Democrats promising another poverty fighting program. Are you going to fall for it again?
This is why republicans have so many issues with the black vote.

You just heard from someone who told you that most black voters come from the middle class. She herself is working and said that most black voters (who as she said tend to NOT be poor) are concerned with access to well paying jobs that one needs an education or training to land.

Your response addresses her as if she needs to rise from poverty and leave the projects. Apparently, that's what "black voter" means in your head.

The black middle class has expanded exponentially since the 70s. Most of that was due to policies enacted by democrats, policies that increased access to education and made it harder to discriminate when hiring. Democrats also put in policies to end housing discrimination and redlining. Republicans are associated in a lot of black people's minds with heavy handed "law and order" policies that devestated a lot of black communities. That's why the one Clinton criticism that actually hurt her standing among black people was the Clinton Crime Bill and the "super predator" remark.

Republicans are also associated with cuttng education funding (a big no no for black folks) and tolerating members who use a lot of coded racist language, especially when talking about crime and/or welfare.

Democrats are nowhere near perfect but they have done things that helped. Y'all on the other hand still talk as if all black people are characters on Good Times or a gangsta rap video.

Sad!

Almost all that can't get an ID are to blame themselves, nobody else.

Cases where they can not are rare and extreme and for the most part their individual situation, not that of any group.

To think otherwise is what is sad.
