Y'all do realize that trump's complaint is that Amazon doesn't collect sales tax, right? Not that Amazon has grown large enough to have some issues with whether or not it is a monopoly, but that it doesn't college sales tax. And, he is even wrong about that, as you probably know because you may have even bought something through Amazon and paid sales tax for the item. Unless, of course, you live in one of the states where they are not required to collect sale tax, and are, according to trump, evil for not collecting sales tax in those particular states.

Why don't y'all put your money where your mouth is, and quit supporting Amazon since it is so big and evil? trump told you all about it, so you must act on the information! While you're at it, stop shopping at WalMart, who is even bigger and more evil. Maybe trump will go off on them next.

Excellent point - but not one in Trump's favor.

Truly idiotic.

give it a break..
First, Bernie Sanders campaigned on breaking up large banks not large corporations in general.
Second, in "the old days," AT&T had a government sanctioned monopoly. There is not stopping anyone from starting an online store to compete against Amazon. There are already many competitors.

Third, why do you shield Trump from legitimate criticism that his attack on Amazon is personal?

Also, Amazon collects sales tax in states that have a sales tax.

His company doesn't make a profit. He created something that is not profitable! It's price to earnings ratio is nearly 300. Most companies valuations are derived from fundamentals - Amazon's and Tesla Motors are derived from Flash-Gordon-like pie in the sky.

I hope a Trump justice department's anti-trust division not only breaks up Amazon, but WalMart and a list of the mega banks too.

Your post is internally inconsistent. A company can't make no profit and have any positive PE ratio, since the 'E' is earnings or gross profit.

Just so you know, Amazon made $513 million in profits in the first quarter, its biggest ever.

There was nothing stopping anyone from starting a business to compete with AT&T either. They had many competitors over time. Monopoly is addressed under antitrust, government sanctioned or not. Why dismiss it until it is examined to see if something is there. Or is the five seconds time limit for that up ?

Why would we target only banks?

And I find it interesting that the left can whine and cry about big corporations and then defend them.

The government has broken up other companies, like tobacco companies that were not monopolies, so stop making excuses..

Even at $513 million in profit, its far over priced at a cap rate..

But lets put their profits in perspective, shall we?
