Obviously some people are being cheeky with the Palin pick. She wasn't VP material even back when McCain picked her. Trump's association with corporate raider Icahn is also troublesome. Whatever he does do, no pandered pick, or I'm out.
I doubt it.
If someone likes Trump why wouldn't they love Sarah Palin?
Of the options available only Paul is a good choice for VP. I'm not a trump supporter, but Palin would push me farther away. Paul could get some of the non mainstream Republicans to give Trump another look. Palin doesn't really bring anything to the table, Paul only brings a little more. I know Kasich isn't popular to Trump supporters, but having a popular politician in a swing state would be great for Trump. Ohio could make or break the election and Kasich would bring the state their way. Anyway, I'd vote for a popular politician or simply a popular person in a swing state. Neither Paul or Palin are in swing states, but Paul would bring some disenfranchised voters.
I'd definitely like to see Paul or Gingrich. I don't want to see Kasich, Jeb!, or any well known establishment candidate.
Seriously? Gingrich is so establishment, it's not funny. He never left Washington after he left Congress. He stayed around as an "advisor." He's been there forever -- having lunch with Rummy, etc.

I didn't want to include mainstream republicans
I thought Newt Gingrich was a ridiculous choice. I don't understand why some people are listing him. He is a joke.
I didn't want to include mainstream republicans and I thought Newt was a ridiculous choice.
I can understand where you're coming from - but Spkr Gingrich is essentially the front runner from all of the GOP flap circles.
