Donald Trump has been a VERY Sucessfull Business man for many decades. Smart people make lemonade out out of Lemons. I made a LOT of money on the crash in 2009-10, that doesn't mean I liked the crash OR did anything to cause the crash.

President Trump would have ZERO to gain from another Crash, but it's a pretty sure bet he would have a better idea about how to control the Fall-Out better than Turbo Timmy or Community Activist Obama did.

This is a Plus for Trump, not a Negative. Better to have an informed Pro-Active & knowledgable Leader than a Clueless Lead From Behind Reactive Non-Leader OR a Clinton Slush Fund "make money for the Elites" leader.

Trump is about Make America Great Again & Love for America.
Obama is about Obama. Clinton is about Clinton. Both are about their Grand Legacy as "First".

Based on his background though, it sure looks like he would. This is like putting the fox in charge of the hen house.
If anyone would it would be Hillary. Soros loves crashing economies so he can make money, and has a proven track record of doing it. Soros is one of her major backers and has stated that those he funds are his "useful idiots". He owns her - she'll do whatever he asks of her.

So which is it - is there an opportunity to make money when the economy crashes, as Donald Trump said in 2006? Or is Trump a blowhard who doesn't understand the economy or he wouldn't have made such a false statement?

Of course given the fact that he lied through his teeth about graduating first in his college class at Wharton, combined with the sources that argue that he would have more money right now if he had simply invested his money in index funds, it's entirely possible that he knows very little about finance and the economy.

i'm guessing "trump lemonade" would be as successful as "trump water", "trump vodka" and my personal favorite, "trump steaks".

Krugman won a Nobel prize for Economics. I doubt seriously that you understand economics better than he does.

Donald Trump? Donald J. Trump? The guy who is the cheapest philanthropist in America? The one who gives very little of his own money to charity, if anything at all? That Donald Trump? You think that Donald Trump loves America and wants to make it Great Again? What's stopping him from doing that NOW? He does nothing to make America great now even though he could.

He knows "buy low, sell high" and "you make your money when you buy." That's what he knows. Of course, almost everyone knows that.
