What we learned is what we thought were conservatives were mostly white people a lot more worried about racial and cultural changes than a desire for small government and outlawing abortion.

While a likely larger portion of the country looks at this and is horrified, Trump supporters look at this as the Hunger Games, investigating Americans, targeting minorities, he's saying everything they always wanted to hear. Why do you think Trump said very specifically "I love the poorly educated!"?

I don't believe that is accurate. I believe that the "cult of personality" trumps ( pun intended) ideology. Orange is the new black, Trump is just the next generation of Obama supported by ignorant and low information voters. No doubt Conservatives are shattered right now, which is exactly why I believe someone like French has a chance.

Just don't mistaken "Right Wing" for ideological conservatism whom do not support Trump. Please notice that the establishment Boehner/McConnell were loud and clear with their denunciation of the Conservative in the race and were quick to board the Trump train. One of the big ironies of many with the Trump scam.
