I think you need to be investigated based on your name alone.
Hahah... because "Omar Mir Seddique Mateen" is what people name their kids every day in the USA. There couldn't possibly be any foreign family history in that name! It's probably in the top 10 baby name list!

Nope... I just know a non-American name when I see one. Keep defending the mass murderer though... he WAS an American citizen born after his parents immigrated here from a country with ties to terrorism.

Why was he under investigation again in 2013 and 2014 by the FBI? Why was he was found not to be a threat?

My sister lives in Orlando... but she's not gay thankfully.

So proof is there they were planning it while Clinton was in office.
Of course... but people want to blame W for it. He was governor of Texas while the terrorists were here taking the flight lessons.

It appears that Mateen may have used ISIS as an excuse to do what he wanted, and that he had lots of mental and emotional stuff that made him want to target gays, and just about anyone else. Kinda like that guy last year who did the massacre at the women's clinic, who did it for his religion. It is sad when someone's religion and their hatred mesh and make them turn into a murderer. Would like to know how, other than another poster's suggestion that anyone with a muslim-sounding name automatically be on a watch list, this guy could have been stopped.

As an aside, in an interview with one of Mateen's co-workers yesterday, it turns out he sounded a lot like trump... hated everyone, talked bad about everyone, threatened people. If anyone is to blame, it is his employer and family for not doing something about his pretty obvious issues. There is no law that says you can't talk bad about people... or trump would be in jail not on the campaign trail.

WoW!

Now you compare Trump to Islamic Terrorist who killed 53 people in cold blood.

Dear, you need some perspective.

Before he acted on his hate, he was just a guy who said bad things about lots of people. If you don't see a parallel, you need some perspective.

Exactly. He thinks he'll tweet them into submission.

Obama is much more worried about how he is going to be viewed in response to these terrible attacks in history. Because the man is obsessed with history, namely the racist history of America in his mind.

He had to once again bring up America's racist past. He won't even let us mourn the loss of 49 of our brothers and sisters, he just can't resist getting up on that soap box.

Make no mistake, he will let many more of us die before he does ANYTHING about this problem that will make him look the least bit like he profiled people.

The safe bet for him is to blame guns and all extremism which is to essentially take no stand at all.

He just wants to get to January and not make any real decisions on this so he can build his library and make himself look like Gandhi.

Nope.

Lots of people say lots of things and especially so for politicians. This doesn't mean they are a radical Islamic terrorist who kills 53 people.

Critically thinking adults know this.
