That anomaly was not unique. In fact, a review by The New York Times of the unofficial results reported on primary night found about 80 election districts among the city’s 6,106 where Mr. Obama supposedly did not receive even one vote, including cases where he ran a respectable race in a nearby district.
Actual tallies differ. So the votes were counted, just not reported.

Yea, but, after Clinton Wins Ohio, Texas and Pennsylvania, you'll be singing a different tune. She has won and continues to win the Traditional Democratic Powerhouse states.
Obama talks about he has won the "red" states, yet, he can't win the biggest "Blue" states. I guarantee you that Neither He nor Clinton will win Idaho, Utah, N. Dakota, Nebraska, etc in the General.
If for some reason Hillary doesn't win, You'll see the Republicans that are voting for him in the primary swing back to McCain along with at least ONE Democrat.

It seems the election commission reported the wrong results, the official results are different from the reported totals on election night. HOWEVER, for those that were still waiting to vote in states 3 hours west of NY, it could have influenced people to either stay home or rally them to vote. In conjunction with the media, this mistake may have had some influence that is most likely immeasurable.

No, there should be about five to ten regional caucuses. Then people could learn about the candidates and see voter momentum. A national primary is a misnomer.

To put it bluntly, you do not meet the definition of a Democrat if you would vote for a Republican every time the Democrats nominate someone you don't like. A true Democrat would withhold their vote from a Republican.You sound much more like an independent to me, perhaps with Democratic leanings.

I could go for regionals too. The parties and states would have to agree since the Constitution allows them to set their rules.

Why would we need someone else to tell us how to vote? Why couldn't all the states vote on the same day. I am not for changing USA voting laws, but I see no reason why the states cannot choose this on their own. Then people in NC would have as much voice in the primary decision as other states. We could have ended up with Edwards as the primary winner. Wouldn't that be a hoot!
My dh has stated many times how unfair the primaries are, because each states votes do not count the same. Maybe if we all voted the same day with no news coverage allowed until after the polls close everywhere, we might end up with the best choices. Voting should not have to be for the lesser of the two evils.

There are bluedog Republicans. Why not Reddog Democrats? Purple staters is another group out there. They like parts of both platforms.
