No need of Bill Gates donations. If he could just make Windows and Microsoft Office products more affordable and do away with the paid keys one needs to install the software for each and every new computer and new versions, he's be doing a hefty good to mankind.

Let's see. The richest man in America has a choice. Support someone he can buy(control) with a small portion of his wealth, or someone he can't buy or control with a small portion of his wealth. If you were Gates, who would you support?
If you have even just skimmed reviews of "Clinton Cash", you would know that she is for sale and will sell out the country in a New York Minute.

If reports be true that Mr. Gates is worth some 80 billion dollars, I imagine he can also buy/control Mr. Trump. Why? Money talks, and Mr. Trump does like money. If he can increase his wealth via Bill Gates, I have little doubt that Mr. Trump will do so.
It is a fallacy, I believe, that 'rich men' are entirely satisfied with their level of wealth. It does not seem to hold up, historically. Rich men tend to want to become richer.

IMO, Bill Gates doesn't support Hillary or other liberals b/c he wants more money.
I have trouble believing someone that successful could be dumb enough to honestly believe that Hillary's (or Obama's) economic policies benefit the nation.
Bill Gates knows he can either espouse conservative economic policies which would involve reduced rates of taxation at all levels including the upper end (as well as elimination of double taxation, such as estate and capital gains) or he can support higher taxes on wealthy people such as himself. The former will lead to him being viewed and treated (by the media/society) as Hitler and the latter will lead to him being viewed/treated as Mother Theresa.
It's no more complicated than that -- calling for higher taxes on the wealthy keeps the peasants with pitch forks the f*** off his lawn.
Gates is on record of wanting higher tax-rates on people like himself -- for the good of the nation. That's not hypocrisy, that's civic virtue!
It is "civic virtue" on Gates's part when he wants more H1-Bs while there are thousands of experienced, unemployed American citizen IT workers who would gladly take those jobs?
Trump owns companies that have sought to import at least 1,100 foreign workers on temporary visas since 2000, according to U.S. Department of Labor data reviewed by Reuters. Most of the applications were approved, the data show.
Trump sought 1100 visas for temporary seasonal workers since 2000 .. that averages out to 68.75 visas per year, and, 'most' of the visas were approved but not all of them were. It's unknown how many of those <68 visas per year were actually used by Trump.
