1. Trump amassed a vast personal fortune off of globalism. All his **** is made on the cheap by foreigners, not Americans. If he was that serious, he could start by giving back some of those ill-gotten gains to the American working class. Let's see his actions match his populist rhetoric.

2. Fighting against globalization may play well with working class Americans, but it's a silly and unrealistic policy. You can't put up an economic wall around the country; it doesn't work. We are by now way too interconnected. Also, the same capitalist market which conservatives champion is the one that says resources should flow to their most efficient use, which means overseas to cheaper countries. Those working class jobs are not coming back no matter what Trump says.

Really? Which ones? Name them.

I must say Trump is getting better with the teleprompter -- he's got the dummy pose down pat.

Reagan started this whole mess with his "trickle down" economic theory. The whole idea of giving more of our money to corporations so they could "trickle down" on us was ridiculous, yet stupid people bought into it.

What needs to happen is that the poor need to be given more money so they can go out and spend it -- making the wealthy earn their money. The "trickle up" theory.

Exactly. And the same people decrying globalism think that Reagan is a hero.

Bad enough that people walk around like insects in a colony staring at their electronic devices....let globalism take place and we will be one HUGE insect colony- a mindless collective consciousness - without wisdom...compassion or original thought....a huge mass....a beast....the rule of the beast is the massive collective that progressives think would be so cool....LOOK at hipsters.....they all look and act the same....drones.....I am NOT a drone....

He'll do what his wallet and his big money donors tell him. And we got a good peek, looking at his tax plan, at which interests he will serve. And it aint Joe Sixpack!

It isn't just the so-called "working class" that is affected. People - middle class- are trying to separate themselves because they don't want to associate and see they are the working class too. If you need to work to live you are working class, if you have a mortgage you are working class. Sorry. Those who win are the one percent and a few stragglers thrown some crumbs. Anyone who needs a job to eat and live should pay some serious attention. If you are not the super rich you are at some serious risk.

The American public is very simple minded. How many times has Reagan gotten the credit for freeing the hostages in Iran when in reality Carter did all the work, and the Iranians simply would not free them until Carter was out because of the Shah of Iran getting medical treatment in the US?

What I remember is the Air Traffic Controllers getting fired while they were out on a completely legal strike due to forced OT and bad work rules.

So Reagan, was never my guy and I hated his wife even more.

Trump is not going to upend the system that is keeping him wealthy.
