Lying is part of a political process, they all do it. However, some lies are more damning than others, and that's not to mention actual law breaking while an 'employee' of the us government.

if you are standing on a stage and nobody really presses you for an answer and you just cavalierly volunteer "i promise xyz if i get elected' isn't nearly as bad as if you lie to the faces of congress with blood on your hands during an investigation of dead americans.

Who cares what the person being given a polygraph test thinks of the test. The point is the test results. The point is "pressing" them.

Polygraphs are essentially useless. Anyone with a bit of money hires one beforehand with a trainer, and practices deceiving it until its second nature.

I would be surprised if both Hillary and Donald have not had the training.
