When I have a union job, I have health insurance. When I don't have a union job, I have nothing. I tend to be in that sweet spot where I make too much for the free health care but not enough to afford it. Family of 4 is NOT cheap.

If someone were to post something in copyright violation or defaming in this forum, the CDA protects City-data and other forum owners and puts the liability on the actual person that wrote the info. Repealing that would mean web hosts and self-publishing facilitators would become liable. That would also put an end to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc. Search engines would also find themselves in a difficult position.

Social media wouldn't exist at all if the CDA was repealed. Section 230 allows for its existence without the transfer of liability to the host or operator when illegal content is published by a user.

Humorously, the group then claims they want to improve free speech for all, after proposing taking away their best medium in this era through the CDA repeal they want. Maybe they didn't bother to read the law they want to repeal? My guess is they just want the government to control the internet.

They also want to take over TV and radio airwaves for government use. Businesses would have no First Amendment rights if the Green Party had their way.

Let's successfully sue news organizations for defamation on every story because they don't have First Amendment rights. The federal govt would be the only news source in this scenario. No NY Times v Sullivan caselaw for you news organizations anymore. No more Fair Reporting rights either.

In other words, the Green Party is the U.S. Communist Party. I find it humorous that someone would use a medium the Green Party wants to destroy as a way of expressing their support for the movement.

EA has it right. I am a Bernie Sanders supporter and was told Jill Stein is the closest to Bernie. I am against everything Las Vegas Player posted, so I now have no choice but to stay home and not vote.

As it turns out, we will be in Las Vegas looking at houses on election day. Since our state, Illinois, will go to old bag Clinton and neither of us support her, I'm not sure it's worth the effort to do early mail-in voting.

I would prefer to vote, but it really seems like a waste of time when the outcome is pretty much already determined.
