I watched the video. Basically, Trump said he talked to a high-ranking police officer in Chicago who told him that he could stop the violence in one week. Trump didn't ask him how and doesn't care how, but believes that it's true. So that's Trump's plan--even though he doesn't know what the plan is. But whatever the unnamed cop has in mind is great.

When O'Reilly asked Trump how he would stop violence directed toward police officers, Trump said police officers need a cheerleader and he would be the cheerleader.

I totally understand how someone wouldn't want to vote for Hillary. But I'll never understand how someone could think Trump has any idea, much less any ability, to address a serious issue. Watch the video yourself and see if you can figure out his policy on urban violence.

Yes, we watched it as well: Trump would do himself and his supporters a favor by not making statements he can not begin to back up. This isn't the first time and it won't be the last.

After seeing Trump on ORiley

This is what the OP said "Trump stated he could eliminate crime and murder in Chicago in one week. "

The video is not lying.
How do you account for your untrue statement OP ?
Were you mistaken, unable to process information without changing it to misrepresent, or lying ?
I guess we all see it and hear it differently: I heard it the same as the OP.

Laura, I totally disagree with you. I think all O'Reilly does is try to pin Trump down. I think he is very fair to Trump and was, certainly for awhile a Trump supporter.

It's going to take 7 whole days to clean up crime in Chicago? Will there be a day of rest?

Where, pray tell, are we going dump all these people? The ships filled with criminals no longer sail to Australia. The rest of the world hardly cares for Americans at all (they think we're a goofy bunch, go figure), and I can't imagine they'd go along with us dumping our gang members, killers, and bad people on them.

Will they be a cast upon the sea to be people without a country? Put in orbit? Sent to Mexico in a turn-about-is-fair-play move?

BTW, my head is already spinning.

There is plenty of desert to put up tents.

This is called governing.

He doesn't need to micro-manage everything. Let the people in charge do what they are supposed to do at lower levels of government.

This is what we used to do in America.

Trump gave the proper answer.

“But he didn’t tell you exactly, precisely how? Because that’s what people wanna know,” O’Reilly said.

“No. And I didn’t ask him,” Trump said. “I’m sure he’s got a strategy. I didn’t ask him his strategy.”
This exchange encapsulates the farcical Trump campaign perfectly. There's no there, there. Never was.

He's probably planning on using those nukes that he can't understand why nobody is using.

I saw it in its entirety and Trump just looks dumb, really dumb. His solution to solve violent crime is to become a cheerleader for the police. What the hell does that even mean? To O'Reilly's credit, he tried but Trump is a lost cause.

You mean actually trusting other Americans to do their job... instead of being treated like nincompoops who need the feds to hold our hand every step of the way in life?

Who would ever figure it would be a risk to trust other citizens to do their job?

The liberal nanny-state mindset continues to creep more and more into the mainstream.
