The mainstream media has been releasing daily stories making unfounded claims, and insinuating wrongdoing without any evidence.
First we has the story insinuating wrongdoing on Trump's part over rent costs without providing any evidence of any wrongdoing.
Then the story about buying books.
Then the debunked 35 year old story they have been pushing for the last year about undocumented workers.
Today two stories insinuating wrongdoing by one of Trump's campaign managers, again, without any proof of wrongdoing.
When are people going to stand up, and demand that the media have an ounce of integrity, neutrality, and objectivity, and stop making unfounded claims, and insinuating wrongdoing without any evidence.
When are people going to demand that the media stop being so overtly biased, and being nothing more than outlets for political opinion, rather than reporting the facts objectivity.
Since when did we as a society become willing to tolerate this kind of conduct by the media?
Please. Let's be real here.
This election shaped up very early on to be what it became. This is the most un-civil election I can remember, and is only the latest in a long line of increasingly emotional, not rational, and certainly not polite and civil elections of the recent past.
If we as citizens had wanted polite discussions between our candidates over policy, the direction of the nation, and responsible action, we would have nominated very different people. They were there from the beginning, but we tossed them aside because we all wanted to vent our frustrations and anger like a playground in a school yard instead. We wanted school-yard bullies, not thoughtful and responsible leaders.
And we got exactly what we wanted. More perfectly than usual, for sure. It's been a long time building, and apparently, we haven't had our fill of it yet.

I'm not talking about mud slinging. I'm talking about the media constantly posting stories misrepresenting the facts, making unfounded claims, and insinuating wrongdoing without any evidence.
When the media accomplishes their goal of getting their candidate elected.
Today's media destroyed forever any decent reputation journalism once had. There are no Cronkites, no one left anymore who understands not being a party hack is not an option. This goes far beyond 2016. The media's rep is going to be below that of used car salesmen forever.
Hilarious thread start, OP! I see you're using the "accuse the other guys of doing exactly what we're doing in the hopes that it distracts them from our strategy" line of reasoning.
The entire GOP campaign strategy for this election is based on false allegations and unfounded claims against Clinton. Oh, and smears. Can't leave out smears. Oh, and never-ending witch hunts, too.
The cult will buy your projection, but no one else will.
It's been proven she took bribes from the Saudis. It's been proven her policy of getting involved in other nations civil wars got 4 Americans killed when she ran guns to the rebels AND she lied about it.
She's going to be worse than that bald faced liar, Obama.

So it's only a problem for you when Trump is the target?
May I remind you that Clinton has been enduring media assault for about 30 years now. And I fully expect it to continue after her death of old age at 103.
The answer to your question is, as long as there's an audience for it.

Provide a source where the mainstream media put out unfounded claims, and hit pieces on the Clintons on a daily basis.
