Virtually everyone with 2 weeks to live is not going to waste their precious time on earth with a presidential election. Are you kidding? Alright, if they have no family or friends. But please feel free to romanticize our Democratic Republic.

Elections are often more for the future than they are for the present. Parents and elderly grandparents often care MORE about the country their children will someday live after their death. Many soldiers have faced death knowing that if they don't come back their sacrifice will have made the world a better place for others.
So yeah, don't assume you know what those facing death consider "wasting time". And don't assume their opinion somehow doesn't matter.
Trump is self-centered and thinks only of himself, power and money. But we already knew that. Trump is not going to think about the terminally ill and say, " I'm all in on the cancer moon shot! Let's find the cure!!"" He's thinking about how to use the terminally ill to get votes.

And don't assume that a candidate specifically courting the terminally ill with 2 weeks left to live and exhorting them to stick around long enough to vote for him is anything but fodder for ridicule and disgust.
Yes, people do think about the future when they vote. But people with a couple of weeks left to live aren't at a rally and aren't figuring out how they can cheat death for a little while longer just so they can cast a vote.
You really don't care what Trump says or does, you will make an excuse for it no matter what.
If you really want to understand The Donald find some early 1960's copies of Playboy Magazine and force yourself to read The Playboy Advisor. See if you can stand more then a few months of this self centered drivel. Unfortunately The Donald read and the Donald BELIEVED. The centerfolds provide an insight to his esthetic preferences in female body shape. Apparently his philosophy of life and predilection for young slim women with big breasts has not changed over the years.
