It has become fashionable to disdain or even hate Judeo-Christian religions and our country. To publically claim one is proud of America and a Christian or Jewish is to open oneself up for attack personally or professionally in certain parts of the country.
“Many of the most powerful elements of the conservative movement are all Catholic (many converts) from the SC and think tanks to the media and social groups. It’s an amazing bastardization of the faith. They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy,” he added.
That's harsh criticism but it isn't mockery. And even if it had been, that's allowed in free countries. People can say anything they want about any religion, certainly in private emails. So demands for apologies seem out of line, but this information should give pause to any conservative Catholics who were planning to vote Hillary.

One should consider anything they put in email might one day become front page news.
Too bad these leaks are limited to just Hillary's campaign.
It is scary when a leader makes such remarks and it really isn't that much of a leap from offhand email rants to like you said front page news and with the way the media is in the back pockets of the Dems public opinion of Christians and Jews could turn ugly fast.
it does not matter to the Hillary haters if she said these words or not. So long as they can create more hate they are satisfied.
FWIW - I prefer to believe in verifiable facts than some magical thievery. Particular any that pass a collection plate around and tell you that you can buy redemption.

I agree it criticizes some people for "bastardizing the faith", but does not mock Catholics in general, and doesn't even mention Evangelicals.
nononsenseguy, eh? This is where you get your news?

This is hardly mockery. But if it offends you, then you should probably examine why.
Christian/Catholic conservatives are some of the most vile people I've come across of late, engaging in the sort of behavior that is antithetical to anything Christ-like. I mock them on the regular.
