The reason Trump does poorly in debates is because he doesn't do any prep. He refuses to crack open the books and learn. He can't give good answers to questions because he hasn't thought about them beforehand.

I watched the debate. Trump was ok for about 30 min. Then he just went all Trumpenstein. Hillary just had to stand back and allow him to trip all over himself. and he didn't disappoint.
