I would say this seems very plausible. She can use the medications in high concentrations for short periods to make her "lucid" and then you'll see the long medication vacations taking place. We have all seen what happens when she tries to stay out in public for an extended period.
I have noticed that she constantly looks down and thought it had to do with the lighting and how they could trigger her seizures, but it looks like she must have been reading from a screen.
A robot is a good guess, a "puppet" a better one. There has to be a deal where she is the puppet and will cooperate because of her desperation to be the first woman POTUS and who steps up in her place. Whatever it is going on has to be stopped by sending her home empty-handed.
