There are more than 75 open and pending lawsuits against Donald Trump right now. The sheer volume of open lawsuits is unprecedented in a presidential candidate by a wide margin. They range from angry members at his Jupiter, Fla. golf course who say they were cheated out of refunds on their dues, to a former employee at the same club who claims she was fired after reporting sexual harassment, to documented cases where Trump failed to pay his bills or shortchanged vendors, to multi-million dollar real estate lawsuits.
But the one that could derail a President Trump is the Trump University case, which will go to court shortly after the election.
Quote:
"Some legal scholars raise the prospect that a court could ultimately find Trump University or even Trump personally liable for fraud. In the worst case, a finding that fraud took place could provide Congress with the grounds to consider impeachment proceedings."
How amusing that as Trump supporters are floating the possibility of impeaching a President Hillary CLinton, it's Trump who actually runs that very real risk should he win.
It's a long article but a good read, documenting just how many people have been cheated or otherwise damaged by Donald Trump. Talk about baggage.
Hillary will be facing two criminal investigation after the election, and possibly a third (perjury, obstruction of justice, and possibly an investigation for election law violations).
There is no possibility that Trump would ever get impeached for civil matters.
Hillary on the other hand could very well be impeached for any one of her 2-3 criminal investigations.

Clinton has been facing continuous investigations, with nothing chargeable panning out. Investigations are not proof of wrongdoing, which have never been found.
In any case, Congress will never need to impeach Trump because he's not going to get elected.
I feel depriving the American public of a chance to watch the public flogging of a Trump impeachment on the technicality that he will never be president is a miscarriage of justice and should be conducted even after he loses.
Hadn't even given these lawsuits a thought. Every time you turn around it's some new disadvantage for Trump. This liability is significant and even beyond getting impeached, it's a continuous and significant distraction from the responsibilities of being POTUS. Which is another thing that his supporters are not grasping. Trump is not going to quit his day job to become President. He is going to continue to oversee his businesses and make key decisions; which makes sense since he is making billions from those efforts and he is earning a puny $400K as President. Which do you think will get his full attention?

Exactly. And all of these lawsuits coming to trial will cut even further into what little time he would be devoting to running the country anyway. He would be in court a lot, testifying.
"There’s no automatic shield for the president from civil action,” said Samuel Issacharoff, a law professor at New York University. “If he were president and called to testify and hostilities break out in the Middle East a court would probably postpone — but of course it’s a major dislocation to be going through these civil trials while he’s running an administration.”
This is an interesting article about the American Bar Associations' alleged unwillingness to publish a piece critical of Mr. Trump's frequent lawsuits, due to a fear of being sued themselves:
