Well, we all say we believe in the same things. Some people actually do, others reserve the right to hedge...

Whoever wins, I hope people who like progress will keep fighting for progress. ...Because whoever wins, people who are reactionary are certainly going keep fighting to turn back the clock.

Speaking to my fellow conservative progressives (and progressive conservatives): whoever takes the white house, this is no time to just go back to sleep...

To anyone who thinks this election is unique, just read some ancient Greek stories. Aesop wrote this around 600 BC.

"We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office."

It's close, so close...

But even if Trump doesn't win, he has started something that will not end. There's no stopping it.

And that alone is a very good thing.

I'm glad the election is finally over tomorrow. That being said, I foresee a hard road ahead no matter who wins the White House. If Clinton wins, I fully expect the Republican party to continue their pattern of obstructionism, investigations and temper tantrums. If Trump wins, well God help us all.

If Trump wins, I will not be taunting the Hillary supporters, or digging up old threads to attack people.

If Hillary wins, I will not come here, and crap on the Democrats' win, I'll let them enjoy their night.

I hope my fellow Trump supporters will do the same.

I will be taunting the Liberals if Trump wins and I'll probably watch Discovery and be silent for weeks if Crooked Hillary wins.

I voted for Hillary as I think that she is the best candidate to lead the country. That being said, I don't feel that we are doomed if Trump wins. I think that he is smart enough to know that the position carries great responsibility and that a lot of the crazy stuff he said during the primaries/general election will go by the wayside. My guess is that he would not be as bad as the people who voted against him think and not as great as his ardent supporters think.
