Will we know how many will flip (in any other than the Texas guy) by the night of Monday 19 Dec or we have to wait until January when the results will be reported to Congress????

The electoral college will elect Donald J. Trump president on December 19. Their vote will be definitive on Monday. No doubt.

I think trump is certified by the electoral college, however I would not be surprised if down the road more information surfaces and he's impeached. That is the more likely scenario.

Here's a link, from the National Archives that goes into great detail, including the names of electors:

https://www.archives.gov/federal-reg...ege/about.html

Or you can try googling "electoral college protocol"; I think it's a safe bet that we'll learn quite a bit more about the process over the next few days than in quite a while.

You can also read all about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electo...(United_States)

Suffice it to say that it's a long agonizing process filled with pointless ceremony.

I still cannot find a specific answer to my question...we will know the tally by Dec 19 or we have to wait until January for the official reading to Congress??

I read about vote ballots being "sealed" by electors when they meet.

Normally, nobody gives a crap about the Electoral College so obviously nobody remembers. This year will obviously be different. I don't think the meetings of electors in each state are closed meetings, so it's likely that we'll know how they all voted right on December 19th. The rest of the business and pomp and sending the results to Washington DC will likewise have an America that actually gives a crap this year, so we'll get to watch that unfold on TV as well.

I did find this if it helps. https://www.yahoo.com/news/key-dates...-election.html

oh, give me a break: he is going to be president for at least 4 years unless he decides on his own, for some reason to step down. You can dream all you want, but dreams are only that: dreams and most of the time do not come true.

If we haven't impeached Obama for his high crimes then I doubt Trump will be impeached.
