Well, good for you, I'm glad your crutch got elected.

The rest of us, who don't depend on the POTUS to have a decent life, will go about our business, as usual.

I am still laughing at the, "...gave Obama a chance..." post, though.

Also Trump is against Unions, I wonder why. I thought unions are there to protect the workers and he want to see these gone. Alot of the younger generation will have to struggle now to get what their parents had due to US corporate greed and the choices their parents made.

The escalation of Globalization is because of Obama. This is not a Trump Issue, however its time we look at the direction that we have entered and reversed it. Looking at the new Corp. Tax rates and Obama Care will encourage investors to Reindustrialize America.

Nissan and Toyota have discovered by having plants in the US is a win / win position to be in. Unions have to understand they have to bring value to the product which ends in sales to the consumer!

We are in the age of Robotics and many manufacturing jobs no longer need to be done by a employee. But the equipment need to be operated and replenished. that is what keeps expenses down which make America Competitive.

The other issue is many countries like in SA (South America) tax our good double /triple and the US does not place such heavy tariffs.

When Trump make doing business in America worthwhile we will see more jobs even with technology.

Obama made it clear "I won " and the DNC Majority excluded the GOP in the decision process. It was Nancy Pose who turn off the lights on House when we debate Obama Care.

Trump provide a business friendly Gov that promotes growth, not to regulate them out of business like Obama has with his expansion of Globalization.
One of the results of Globalization is lower wages and less benefits.

Thanks Obama!

Speak for yourself^^^^

In 2008, I couldn't stomach either Obama or McCain and voted third party. When Obama won, even though my gut was telling me he was going to be bad for the country, I still gave him a chance. After all, Bubba balanced the budget while GW Bush put us into debt. The conventional wisdom at the time was that the dems were better with budget issues. With Obama being a dem, I figured that he would, if not entirely clean up the whole mess, at least improve it. He did no such thing. Instead, he made things worse.

Instead of whining and crying about it, I went on with my daily life. He wasn't going to be president forever. I could hope for someone better to come along---and thankfully, we now have President-elect Trump!

So...are you going to give Trump a chance? Or are you going to spend the next 4 (hopefully8!) years ahead stewing in your own juices because Hillary didn't win?

You voted for trump because you think he is going to look out for the working guy and bring jobs back to rust belt cities and towns like where you live. If that happens where are all of these qualified drug free workers going to come from? It is very difficult to get those to relocate to bigger cities in a rust belt state let alone small town rust belt state. There are a lot of open jobs in manufacturing. Not the number that existed in the 1970s but a lot. Employers are having difficulty filling the nearly two million jobs today that are open in towns like yours. The locals aren't qualified and they are having difficulty getting people to relocate there. We have a skills mismatch in this nation. So let me ask you how do we solve it?

If we do not have qualified workers to fill the jobs that currently exist what good is it going to do to create more in these cities? Do we retrain workers or educate them on the taxpayer dime? It also seems that healthcare would need more funding to ween people off of drugs.
I am going to disagree with that statement. The company that I work for hires people from all over the world. If they can find workers in Pakistan; they can also find workers in the US. All they have to do is look.

Most of today's anti-American worker policies were a spin-off of the anti-union movement that started back in the 1970s. At first is was moving factories to the South. Then they moved them to Mexico and now they go all over the world looking for the cheapest labor. They also complicate the issue by assembling goods here with parts made in foreign countries. Or they have the H-1Bs, H-2B and Green cards as well as other programs meant to replace us.

Companies do not want workers comfortable to ask for more money. They want us to be in fear that we are replaceable and at any time. Look at how the seniority has gone down in the last fifty years. Here is one article that I found from 2012: What Is the Seniority System and How Has It Declined in Importance? | Chron.com. In that article they state that: "Data published by the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics states that as of 2012, the median time that employees had worked for their current employers was 4.6 years." When I started working in the 1960's many companies had employees that had 30 and 40 years seniority.

So, going back to how workers will be hardest hit; they were already hit! How do you buy a home and raise a family on a part-time job or full-time job that only last 4.6 years? And we wonder why marriages don't last! Obama, the Bush's, the Clintons, Reagan did nothing for this Country except sell out American workers. I did not forget for one second that President Reagan was the only modern President that pushed through amnesty.

The Democrats always want to raise the minimum wage - but then they want more immigrants. If we hold the line on immigrants or at least go back to only taking those we desperately need; then wages will go up - supply and demand. Employers will pay more if they cannot find cheap labor - or they will go out of business. They will adapt.

The United States has a big problem and it is a skills mismatch and people not qualified to fill these jobs. If our people are not educated nor trained businesses won't be able to hire and the us economy won't be able to grow. They sold out our education system not the American worker.

We will go over to India and hire employees that are not familiar with America. They not only have to learn the job; they have to learn our customs and traditions. Some of the foreign universities are not up to par with American universities. I helped train one school teacher from Pakistan. Last year she finally got her American citizenship and she was very proud - but she was used to having a servant in Pakistan. She still struggles with writing in English and she wants, almost demands, a hand (possibly a left over trait from having servants). If Americans are being 'replaced' we expect our replacements to be of the same quality as the people they replace.

My feeling is that this push to get more foreign workers is simply a push to keep down wages. Of course it is not easy for our corporations today: EEOC mandates new rules on background checks. Government has complicated the process of checking the background of potential new employees. A lot of it sounds like guess work on whether or not an employer is in compliance - which could open up the company to law suits.

I just wish that you will keep an open mind and wait and see. I wish only the best for American and I think that Trump does care. It is hard to second guess him because he is still not in office. Give him some time.

Which reminds me of a funny .....

My neighbors daughter came home from college during the holiday and she was all stressed about Trump. With hands waiving around she said... Trump said he would do this and that "and he didn't do any of it". .... We had to remind her that Trump wasn't even sworn in yet.

These kids don't even have common sense. I believe Trump wants to do good for the country, unfortunately people who don't have common sense wouldn't realize it if he did.
