I actually think there is a chance he'll put a Republican on the ticket, but he is already saying he will have Republicans in his cabinet.

Not entirely unusual. Clinton had at least one Republican in his cabinet. Bush II has had a couple of Democrats.

I would suspect that he would have to put some of the Republicans back in the closet, not the cabinet
