But hey, go rest on your laurels. November 6th 2018 is fast approaching ... and it's looking like a bloodbath for the Trump Party. If Democratic congressional candidates in Kansas of all places can come close enough to frighten Republicans, imagine what things will look like in more swingy areas?
Yep, I can just imagine.

Also, this has to do with Kansas, not the GOP and not Trump. This is Kansas! For better, for worse, it is Kansas!
Witchita cant be all that blue(or at least not entirely in the district) if the last GOP candidate won by 30 points.

Let's see. Republican wins election by 7%. That is neither close nor bad news.

You guys were simply wrong. Kansas was never in Play. (your words)

Almost as funny as the time you guys told us that Hillary had a chance to win Texas.

if this had been a 10 point race in November, you would have a point, but it was 30 point race.

Let's see...

Was the race in Play?

Were any Republicans shown to be "terrified"?

No you say?

Case closed.

In an election, there are no ribbons for 2nd place whether you lose by 1 vote or 1,000,000 votes.

Kansas isn't going blue. No one here is "terrified" or even slightly fearful of that. The only fear I smell is coming from the Democratic Party.

Wichita (Sedgwick County) campaigned HARD against Brownback. As we know, Wichita was the city where they were performing the partial birth abortions.

The Republican Party of Kansas wanted to sufficiently terrify their base to pump their GOTV efforts.

They were concerned. Thus, they brought out the big guns and tried to scare their base. The results were a win 20 points behind Trump and 25 points behind Pompeo in a district that shouldn't be a single digit race. Maybe Estes was just a lousy candidate or enthusiasm in the district was down be it due to Brownback or Trump or the Easter Bunny. Anyway, enough of the base was sufficiently aroused to get a win.

Bottomline: Estes won in a special election that would not have brought out that many people. My guess would be that many in the outlying counties didn't even realize they were having the election. The outlying counties outside Sedgwick (Wichita) are very rural and small and making an educated guess, they had no reason to fear that a Dem would be elected.

Estes won as expected by those not trying to make a "thing" about it and blame Trump. Just more liberal gibberish!

I would think after looking so ridiculous with the 2016 election predictions, the Dems would lie low for awhile!

Indeed. They have become quite deranged. Still obsessing over Russians.

I predict they will be getting a further ass whupping in 2018.
