The short scoop on why democrats lost the big election in November of 2016 was not because of evil Russians but internal research determined that democrats didn't get enough votes. Wow. 😱

Actually the article blamed the disgruntled democrat base for not coming to Hillary's defense but seriously? It took 6 months to figure out more votes were needed to win? Where is captain obvious.

Democrats say they now know exactly why Clinton lost

They lost because they couldn't promise to make it 1951 again, coal jobs and a return to manufacturing in the rust belt. If Clinton promised steel mills and coal mines would return she would be president.

To be fair: a LOT of Obama voters did NOT want Hillary; had the Dems nominated Sanders, IMHO Trump would've lost and, I'm a Repub who voted for Trump but voted for Obama in 2008.

I still don't think they get it. They claim the base didn't turn out. Maybe the problem is the base wasn't large enough even if it all turned out.

Hopefully in 2012 it wasn't a vote for Obama. He had just liked about Beghanzi and still somehow weaseled his way back in.

Hillary got 3 million more votes than Trump. You might want to ask Captain Obvious for advice.

I think is was because Hillary was not liked by many Liberals or moderates and nearly half of all voters said to hell with it. When one looks at it properly trump won by getting less than a fourth of all the voters to vote for him.

Any serious democrat realizes that the electoral college is how Presidents get elected. Strategy matters.

Or if she had promised.....I don't know, something.

What was Hillary Clinton's platform about, anyway? "Half of the people who don't vote for me are deplorable?"
