Yes, this one election on its own does little to change the balance of legislative power. But the significance is that it demonstrates in the current political environment, Democrats can win in districts that are traditionally more inclined to support Republicans. When more of the legislative chambers are up for re-election later this year, other seats may flip and the Republicans will not retain such an overwhelming majority ... and could even fall into the minority. We'll see later this year.

It’s not just any republican district, very stunning victory. We will see if these big republican loses continue.

A friend of mine lives there, and said she knew nothing about this special election. She's calling foul on it, and thinks that the MSM crying about the sh$%^&hole comments was just a distraction.
