Thanks to illegal activity by the supreme court of Pennsylvania. Its blatantly obvious what is going on and its sickening.
When you look at that original map it is blatantly obvious what the GOP was doing, and yeah, it's sickening. The new map makes much more sense--a much better representation of the actual district. Which is, of course, precisely why you don't like it.

Even the US Supreme Court, its majority appointed by Republican presidents, chose not to overrule the PA court's decision. One would think if they thought it was illegal, they would have intervened.
because someone decided not to run again? What makes you think all those deciding not to run will be replaced by the Dems? I know most of us have no idea, but maybe you have information the rest of us do not.

Not all, but this one sure is. Dems are going to pick up 3 to 6 seats in Pennsylvania alone. its not hard to get to 218.

All of them? No. However, a compact seat heavily made up of well educated voters in the Philly suburbs like this one seems quite likely to flip. Members of Congress who are young don't often retire unless they know they are unlikely to win.
FWIW, Chester County voted for Clinton by a slightly larger margin than Nassau County did....
Yes, 1.3% more, but that doesn't mean Democrats will win on the state, and local level. The entire five county Philly region voted for Clinton. Chester County is the least liberal/progressive of the metro area, but yes, transplants are changing that. Lots of gas guzzling SUV's with Obama, and Clinton bumper stickers still on them. Lots more bubble headed soccer moms here now.

Last year Democrats won big locally in the county. If anything Chester is probably more liberal than Bucks now. It doesn't have much to do with transplants either. Well educated middle to upper middle class suburbanites are not nearly as Republican as they once were and Chester has a ton of those. This seat is very likely to flip.
