Hillary got the Democratic nomination over Bernie Sanders because the DNC gave her several hundred special delegates. Sanders had and has the Roosevelt spirit and is in tune with what American's need. The DNC are a band of fools if they think that it was someone's turn.

In the 2015 a moderate from Virginia named Webb ran for president. The DNC didn't give him the time of day. Let's stop being fools and find a qualified Democrat from Virginia or North Carolina that can break up the Republican advantage in the Electoral College.

Hillary is a clown, she has no business being president.

The DNC helping to ensure she won over Bernie was the biggest mistake the dems have made in the 21st century. The DNC, along with the "never Hillary" Bernie Bros, gave us Donald Trump.

Tired of watching people older then dirt (like me) run for POTUS. Trump perfect example of someone too old to be in office.

Time for people less then 60 to show up.

It’s just sad that we really don’t have free elections in America. Someone (corporations, George Soros ect) chooses who we are allowed to vote for.

Hillary needs to slink away with Bill and give up this craziness. She had her shot numerous times and couldn't get it done. I like Bernie, but he's kind of old and a bit of a socialist. Democrats need to find an attractive, middle of the road candidate with minimal baggage.

Their out there, but finding one willing to run could be a challenge.

My wife and I were discussing this the other day. Hillary, Bernie, Trump...they're all 70 and older. Sure, with ages comes wisdom. But also, people in their 70s tend to be stuck in their ways, stubborn, and not open to change.

Most people in their 70s are not in tune with people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, which is the portion of the population that is doing most of the heavy lifting for this country right now in terms of military service, work force, parenting, etc.

Not to say that a 30-something would be too young, but I would really like to see more people in their 40s and early 50s running for President. Not a bunch of old peeps.

Unfortunately we have a dearth of leadership on both sides of the aisle right now. Our culture just isn't creating great people anymore, and the people we're importing are even worse. That's why so many voters decided that President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho was our best choice in the last election, and why he may win the next one as well.

Thing is, Bernie is an even bigger clown and would never get elected in the general election. Most people aren't as stupid as Democrat primary voters and realize that they would have to pay for the free chit that Bern promised. Still-he DID win the honest primary, not Hillary. When you have to lie, cheat and be given the test questions to defeat a delusional 70 year old socialist, you know you, and your party, are in deep trouble.

I guess this is another superdelegate thread?

Anyway, to be fair, she did win the primary vote 56% to 44% over Sanders. And in turn, she won 54.5% to 45.5% of the delegates. She had a 359 delegate lead heading into the convention before a single superdelegate vote is counted. She only needed 176 superdelegates of the 712 available to put her over the top. That's only 25% of the superdelegates. Technically, if 75% of the superdelegates voted for Sanders, then they'd be ignoring the will of the people.

Now, I can't say for sure what underhanded things were going on, but the will of the people was for Clinton. There definitely was broad support for Sanders. Maybe he would have closed the gap a bit if the DNC wasn't putting their thumb on the scale. I don't know for sure. But, he did lose by a 10 point margin in the popular vote. That speaks volumes.

I recall seeing Jim Webb in the first debate in Oct 2015. That's a lot more than some other candidates can say. And O'Malley was invited to debates all the way up until Jan 2016 when primary season began.

Listen, I'm not a DNC defender. But, I'd like to just call things out as I see them.

We just had someone in their 40's ran the country for eight years. What did that do for us?
