DeSantis just reffered to Gillum using the term "Monkey" on FOX NEWS!
The "race biggoting" has begun!

“I watched those Democrat debates and none of that is my cup of tea but [Gillum] performed better than the other people there so we’ve got to work hard so that we continue Florida going in a good direction. Let’s build off the success we’ve had with Governor Scott. “The last thing we need to do is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases and bankrupting the state. That is not going to work. That’s not going to be good for Florida.”--desantis

desantis didn't refer to Gillum as a monkey, but I'm sure the leftists and the MSM will run with this race baiting assertion. Political punditry is a gutter sport.

Spoke earlier this morning to some friends who still live in Florida and voted for DeSantis. We touch on politics sometimes, and I asked them why they voted for DeSantis instead of Putnam.

1) They Saw DeSantis a lot on FOX (it is on most of the day at their house)
2) Trump endorsed him

I asked them what there was about Putnam that they didn't like

1) No specific answer. They didn't really know much about him.

Kind of makes me wonder if there is any real hope for the country.

The FL Gov race in November 2018 is essentially Trump vs Bernie Sanders.

I was being facetious and encouraging the pro-Trump voters to just stay home, but I see it didn't convey well. LOL!

The term is "muck it up," not "monkey it up." Whether it was a Freudian slip or an intentional dog whistle, nobody knows.

"Monkey it up" could also have been a mistake combination of "monkey around" and "muck it up". both slang phrases would have worked in his statement. To assert his words were meant as a racial slur against Gillum says much about the people accusing desantis of "dog whistling".

Of course he didn't.

The fact you even insinuate there was a "Freudian" slip or that the Freudian slip actually IS racial in nature is tragic and cultural marixism at its finest.

That didn't take long.

Democrats have gone onto full tilt mode. They have already brought out the "you rassist" card.

Looks like Florida is going to be a red state for a very long time.
