Colin Powell would be a terrible ticket, he is associated with the Iraq War and torture in America's minds! How much more Bushy can you get, besides Cheney? I think if Bloomberg joined a ticket it would be unstoppable.
There's no such thing, frankly. Americans are incredibly fickle. So many of them lament, "Oh, if only (fill in the blank) would run!" But if (fill in the blank) DID run, most would turn on that person in a heartbeat. For some reason, presidential elections turn the American people into the audience of a Jerry Springer show.
McCain-Romney would be unstoppable against Obama. McCain would lock up independents and moderates while Romney would see to it that the disillusioned conservative sect of the GOP makes it out to the polls. Only the far left/commies/socialists would back Obama. By the grace of God, there aren't enough of those freaks in America to carry an election.
I can see how a McCain/Romney ticket would get people excited. What about a McCain/Huckabee ticket? I think that is what Huckabee has been angling for.....but I think that would scare off a lot of Inds back to Obama or even Hilary.
Does anyone have a guess who Obama would pick or for that matter, should pick?
I think there is much too much animosity between the Clintons and Obama for him to pick Hilary....any thought?
I doubt Hillary would accept, and I doubt Obama would be foolish enough to offer Hillary the spot since most of his supporters can't stomach her and most of her supporters won't support him.
I was watching Colin Powell this morning, and he said he hasn't decided whom to vote for, and if I'm not mistaken I believe he is a registered independent.
I think that if any of the three (and you too, Ron Paul!) could get Colin Powell on the ticket as VP they would win, and win with a large majority of votes throughout the states. Colin Powell would give Obama and Clinton the international/military experience they lack and at the same time could soften McCains and make him more palatable to both liberals and conservatives. And if Ron Paul could get him, he could actually go all the way
Frankly, I know I would feel better about any of the three winning if Colin Powell was VP....
Heck I want Colin Powell for president. I'd vote for him in a heartbeat
Who would Barack Hussein Obama pick as his VP runningmate?
Oprah? Jerimiah Wright? Louis Farrakhan? Al Sharpton? Michelle Robinson Obama, Rosie O'Donald, Bill Mayer, Jesse Jackson, Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank
Oprah could appeal to the arrogant wealthy people
Jerimiah Wright could appeal to the people who might be racist and talk dirty in church
Louis Farrakhan could appeal to the people who hate whitey
Al Sharpton could appeal to judgemental heavy people with bad hairdos
Michelle and Rosie could appeal to the angry people who are __(rhymes with "itchey")
Bill Mayer could appeal to people that think they are "experts"
Jesse Jackson could appeal to people that want to be in the newspaper
Ted Kennedy could appeal to drunk drivers
Barney Frank could appeal to homosexuals
With these folks----
Barack Hussein Obama could start his own Rap group...Obama and the Mixed Nuts
Heck I want Colin Powell for president. I'd vote for him in a heartbeat
But WHY???? I used to like Colin Powell a lot until he became Bush's lapdog. Personally, I believe that if he stood up to Bush and Cheney on the war we might not be in this mess right now. I thought he had more integrity than that. If he ran for president, he would be painted, somewhat accurately, as a Bush man.
