Trump hasn't yet made a firm commitment to running in 2020, and, given he likes to shock people, surprise people, he may surprise us all by not running again! That would be a big game changer and who then would be the possible Republican candidate that would run?

No. You're wrong.
Trump officially announced he was running again in 2017. He has a campaign committee that's almost completely organized, and has the official support of his party.

None of that says, of course, that he may decide to quit the race. It does happen for many reasons. But at the present, Trump fully intends to run again and his rallies are all about winning a second time.

He is too vain not to run. He and Putin aren’t finished dismantling America yet.

Trump is going to be your next president, no need to worry about whether he will run.

I wonder how much pull Melania has with Trump. Someone at Mar-a-Lago commented that they overheard Melania and Trump arguing at dinner. According to this person (unnamed), they were arguing about his health. Maybe she doesn't want him to run in 2019? Except for vanity, why would he want the job?

1. Trump announces he will run for reelection.
2. Trump collects millions in campaign funds and in dark money.
3. Trump changes his mind, decides not to run.
4. Trump pockets the money.

THAT would be in keeping with the real Donald Trump -- proven liar, con man, and grifter. He is criminal scum.

No one has answered the question yet, what if, if, if, if he decides not turn at the last minute.
