Twenty states are considering laws which will require presidential candidates to release their tax returns if they wish to appear on that state's ballot. Trump has steadfastly refused to release his taxes.
Before the Trumpsters cry "unconstitutional," be aware that the Constitution grants the states the power to administer and conduct all elections in the manner of their own choosing.
maybe the red states will required all Presidential candidates to release their college transcripts and medical records and drug used to be on the ballot......LMAO!!!
This would immediately go to SCOTUS and be overturned. Nowhere is this a requirement to be President of the US.
State of Washington AG disagrees with you: "the proposed disclosure requirement would likely not violate the Presidential Qualifications Clause because it would not exclude or handicap any class of candidates. The disclosure requirement would likely not exceed the scope of the State’s power under the Presidential Elections Clause because that clause gives Statesexceptionally broad authority."
All states have paperwork filing requirements to get on the ballot. If you don't file and meet the deadlines, you don't get on the ballot. As long as the filing requirements -- including turning over your 1040's -- apply equally to all candidates, then it's constitutional.

Trump is either on the ballot of all 50 states, or that's the end of this country. Do you want to see the country break up? Personally I could care less if it does at this point. I'm tired of the left's games. The liberal states can go run things their way and the same with flyover country.

Let me guess. Washington is one of the states adopting this at the urging/sponsorship of its AG. So he would have absolutely no impetus to present that interpretation.
