Biden's got a very long anti-American worker resume which is going to come back and haunt him endlessly. He's a shill for the globalists, and parrots whatever the dominate social theme of the day might be.

In this case, that NAFTA would increase work in America factories. Reality: it caused 1000s of them to close.

Neoliberals can pretend they don't need Michigan in the general election and nominate him if they want to.

Trump will get 4 more years.

Good find. Biden has an atrocious record.

Didn't Sleepy Joe oppose the Bin Laden raid too? Biden has been on the wrong side of so many issues over the past several decades. It's crazy how conservatives are willing to roll with Biden over someone like Bernie just because he is more "moderate" and not far left, despite being wrong on nearly everything.

Agreed 100%

It's hardly a coincidence that Bernie (and not Biden) is leading in fundraising out of Michigan, where Chrysler is based.

Biden doesn't have much if any grass root fundraising behind him. He's having to call in decades of corporate favors. Even with that, I don't think he has the support of the Obama and Clinton money making machines. Neither of them have ever liked Biden.

"Like" doesn't have much to do in Presidential politics. "Win" has everything to do with Presidential politics.

I don't know how much the Clintons and Obamas like Joe or dislike him. But the reasons why they aren't jumping in supporting anyone right now are pretty simple: they're waiting to watch the developments, and once things start shaping up, they'll decide then who to endorse and/or support.

Since the Obamas are by far the most influential couple in their party, they may not endorse anyone at all until after the convention is over.

The last 90 days of any campaign always are the time when endorsements count the most, as that's the time when the rubber meets the road. At the end of those 90 days, someone will become the new President.

NAFTA was negotiated and signed by President George H.W. Bush (signed after losing the election instead of letting the winner finalize the deal to his priorities). Bill Clinton supported it and pushed for ratification (after seeking additional side agreements to strengthen, though not enough) but Republican votes were needed and obtained to pass it in both the House and Senate. In the House only 40% of Democrats supported it while 80% of Republicans did to push it to approval by a modest margin. In the Senate it wasn't close overall but lots of Republican yes votes were given along with Democratic yes votes for passage. It couldn't have passed without Republican yes votes. If Biden's vote for it puts him in a bad light, he is joined by most Republicans of the time and the Republican President who negotiated the deal.

The #1 shill for the globalists was the Republican President Bush who negotiated terms weak on protections for American workers, environment and labor laws and helpful to certain banks and major corporations. We'll see if US workers get more actual help from the new deal than they got in the Bush NAFTA.

Oh, and the new deal isn't ratified yet? No real credit for it til it is and til it works.

Trump threat to leave NAFTA (and have no agreement at all) could become a big issue toward end of year.

It's Biden running for President. HW Bush is dead.

And Biden was quite happy and has done nothing to the contrary since, to shill for NAFTA which resulted in millions of American jobs moving to Mexico.
