Big deal, so he said Auschwitz instead of Buchenwald. At least he is still young, has all his mental facilities, is cancer free, and knows the difference between Shiite and Sunni.

He still young is the scary part. At least McCain has an excuse. The guy can't tell the truth to save his life. Btw Upton this was not the first time he has said that.

“Senator Obama’s family is proud of the service of his grandfather and uncles in World War II — especially the fact that his great uncle was a part of liberating one of the concentration camps at Buchenwald,” Obama spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement. “Yesterday he mistakenly referred to Auschwitz instead of Buchenwald in telling of his personal experience of a soldier in his family who served heroically.”
The campaign said his great uncle, Charlie Payne, served in the 89th Infantry Division, and that the unit was among those to liberate Ohrdruf on April 4, 1945.

Was that great uncle a "typical" white person?

I found this on another board (Here: History Channel: Barack's War Torn Uncle ... (http://boards.historychannel.com/thread.jspa?threadID=510002550&start=0 - broken link)

So let's look at Charlie Payne's enlistment records:

Charles W. Payne, born 1924, enlisted 10Nov42, Navy, 6293977 Registered, order #12019, Kansas City, Wyandotte Co., Board #4
Then, further down, there is this great little tidbit:

Quote:
Oh, and didn't Obama say "Gramps" signed up the day after Pearl Harbor?

Dunham, Stanley A., enlisted, 18June42.

Wow, that one was long day.
Too funny!

I have yet to read ONE thread posted by a McCain supporter that touts his stand on any issue that matters to people.

All I read is one phony scandal about Obama after another. All of it is basically sensationalized garbage with no merit.

And I get called for dismissing garbage? that's rich.

How about McCain knowing that leaving Iraq is a bad idea so bad that even Obama is backing off the idea.

Or government mandates will not fix the healthcare system. McCain want the INDIVIDUAL to decide with a nice tax credit.

McCain also know raising taxes in a weakening economy is stupid and he admits to knowing not to much about the subject!

Or that he know the missle defense system is a good thing.

Oh he also recognizes that the constitution give no right over marriages to the federal government and that it is a states right!

Whats is boy wonder going to do?
