On a previous thread, TuborgP made an interesting point:

I thought this was a pretty far reach, but then I noticed that as of this posting, none of these anti-McCain/pro-Obama entries had any of the usual anti-Obama suspects posting to them:
How could anything besides TuborgP's theory explain why these anti-Obama posters didn't come to defend their candidate, John McCain?
In short, if you are an Obama supporter and a post about "Barack Hussein Obama" being a Muslim or Michelle Obama railing about "whitey" comes up, instead of replying to it, use your energy to make a new, positive post about Obama and his progress, or add your 2 cents to an existing positive post!
None of it matters. From the Press Ron Paul was getting on this forum I was sure he was going to be the next big thing. We see how that one worked out.
People can rant and rave and gnash their teeth til the cows come home. It won't save McCain.

My, my, aren't the Obamatrons on the defensive. His new website to fight so called smears (which is website by his campaign to allow him to continue his lies) and now this call to action to ignore anti-Obama post (not debate or defend, but ignore).
Looks like Obamatrons are slightly worried that Obama won't hold up under the scrutiney.

None of it matters for another reason, too. This forum doesn't have any effect on the election. Nope, none at all.
About 20-30 people post here. Maybe half of those people will actually vote. If we're lucky. Most of 'em just like to make a big noise so people will think they're ba-a-d. And most importantly, I've never seen anyone change their mind one little bit because of something that was posted.
So IMO--say anything you wish. None of it matters.

I have no problems with anti-Obama posts that have the ability to turn into legitimate discussions. If you scroll up and read the title of my thread, I am referring to "inflammatory" posts. If you scroll up to my original post, I am specifically referring to posts about fake tapes and debunked lies about Obama's religion.
Both of these things have been debunked and are only trotted out to try to stir up racial and religious hate. If you have a legimate anti-Obama gripe or posting and want to discuss it like an adult, I am more than willing to participate.

I'm no big fan of Obama, but how do you debate words like "Obamatrons", "racists", "communists", "socialists", "Marxists", etc, etc? Those aren't springboards for debates. Shoot, they don't even rise to the level kindergarten talking points. They're just insults and put-downs masquerading as retorts without any sort of pithyness to them.

Oh, you're right. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. But it would be fun to imagine the steam eminating from some of these posters' ears if they didn't get their much-needed attention.
More participants of this poll said they would vote for Obama than McCain!
