This week we had one spokesperson (the head of the McCain campaign) say that Americans are "whining" about the economy.....the pain they are feeling is in their minds....everything is fine. McCain was quick to say that his spokesman "doesn't speak for me." (Isn't that what a spokesperson does?) "John McCain speaks for John McCain." (even though JMc has said he doesnt have a firm understanding of economics and relies on this spokesperson in that area.) He neither repudiated or fired Phil Gramm.

Then we had the candidate himself, stumped by a question at a news conference and unable to say if he thought it was fair that insurance companies have to pay for Viagra but don't have to cover Birth Control.
After a long and embarressing pause and much stammering....he said he wasn't prepared to answer the question and would need "to get back to you"; so much for the "Straight Talk Express". I guess even John McCain doesn't speak for John McCain." First Bob Dole and now John McCain with a Viagra connection.

It would seem that the McCain campaign is coming apart at the seams; perhaps this is a warning of what a debacle his administration would be.

Funny, when Obama employees said something stupid, the Obama supporters were quick to point out that it doesnt matter because its not Obama saying it. Now that a McCain employee says something stupid (but accurate), the very same obama supporters are out there trying to use it as proof that the campaign is coming apart.. odd..

I really wouldn't characterize the American people as "whiners" because they are concerned about losing their jobs and their homes and can't afford to fill their gas tanks. I don't think that characterization is "accurate".

It was John McCain himself who couldnt decide if it was fair for insurance companies to pay for Viagra but not for Birth Control.

Phil Graham is more than an employee....he is McCain's top economic consultant and the head of his campaign.

I am not the "very same" anything or anyone" I have not justified or dismissed any remarks by the head of the Obama Campaign, nor by a person he retains as his chief consultant.

I surely wouldnt characterize Americans as bitter and gun toting either, but didnt stop that circus from taking place.

But, Americans have turned into whiners, whine about health care costs, whine about gasoline costs, whine about people who are losing their homes because they over bought, whine because a few thousand died in a war, whine because we cant get full time employment with benefits, and the whole time we turn to the government to fix our problems which does nothing but create new ones, so we can whine some more.
