On June 27th, 2008, Louisiana's Secretary of State confirmed that a recall petition had been filed against Governor Jindal. Ryan and Kourtney Fournier filed the petition in response to Jindal's refusal to veto a bill that would more than double the current state legislative pay. The petitioners have 180 days to collect the signatures of over 900,000 registered voters to force a recall election on the ballot. If accomplished, a simple majority would be needed to remove the Governor. During his campaign for Governor, Jindal had pledged to prevent legislative pay raises that would take effect during the current term. [19] [20] Jindal responded by saying that he is opposed to the pay increase but that he had pledged to let the legislature govern themselves. [21]

On June 30th, 2008, Governor Jindal reversed his earlier position by vetoing the pay raise legislation, stating that he made a mistake by staying out of the pay raise issue. In response, the petitioners dropped their recall effort. [22]
Looks like someone wanted a pay raise. Oh and look at that....he changed his decision......sounds like another flip-flopping politician like ALL OF THE REST OF THEM!

Keep in mind....if Mccain kicks the proverbial bucket.....this is your prez!

Depends on what state you are running ...and besides, he took that state over at it's lowest point. Anyone could look like a hero after taking over that $hit hole.

I hope you feel the same way about obama. if he becomes president, we could have someone with mental retardation running the country and it would improve. if obama or mccain can't pay off the national debt in 4 years, it will go down as the most failed presidency of all time.

......and Bush would be the 2nd most failed.....wouldn't that make it the first though....since you failed to be the first that is an additional failure....oh whatever......I doubt either one will do anything but get elected, talk a lot of $****, get booted after 4 years and leave the next ******* to run with an even deeper pile of doodie (I decided not to say $hit that time) to clean up....either way we are screwed.

Anyone got property in Mexico? I am thinking of learning Spanish.........

Looks like McCain may select a Muslim for his running mate. WOW that should help attract the Christian right I think McCain is purposely trying to lose this election. So this guy would become president should McCain croak. what do you say about that MAJORMINOR? YOU still going to vote for McCain? On top of that hes only 37 years old and has less experience than Obama. McCain mind is going I believe. LOL he already has Alzheimers.

Bobby Jindal (McCain's rumored running mate)

LOL the funny things is that those that didnt want to vote for a brown man will have no choice LOL. McCain is actually seriously talking about putting a Muslim on the ticket...dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with Muslims but does he honestly think the American people are going to vote for someone with a Muslim on the ticket? (BTW Obama is Christian)
