Sunshine
If God himself came down to tell you that both McCain and Obama are capable of leading this nation of self starters, you would probably contradict him and find a negative. The sun is out and it is a lovely day. Look at the day the Lord has made, and let us rejoice and be glad for one happy day. Out to the beach for me.

Senator Biden should certainly be on his list for advise. How doesn't this make sense?

Should I post the hundred of advisor's the President of the United States consults? This is a naive view of the role of President of the United States.

Biden is wrong, we do need a CIC who is a war hero. However neither candidate is a war hero. POW yes but what exactly did he do courageous? That aside McCain fits the bill closer then Obama and will help us feel good when the various wars he starts are not doing well. While the economy tumbles down around us Admiral McCain will give us weekly chats over the radio ( economy devestated who can afford digital). Perhaps McCain will invade China and try to liberate all of the Treasury Securities of ours they own.

Everyone is all over this, people are talking, most of them feel this shows just how weak he really is.

Remember, its the President who makes the decisions, not the VP.
So you think Senator McCain is more qualified in the area of foreign policy - duly noted. You may wish to consider this - Senator McCain's comments and actions after the Russia/Georgia crisis were way out of line. It is neither his responsibility nor his role to dictate foreign policy. His posturing during this time was exceedingly inappropriate and it was is in no way a good thing for the rest of us that he chose to do so. The President of the United States of America is the only person qualified to speak for the citizens of the United States, particularly in a crisis, and for good reason. He is the only elected official who can make the claim that he was chosen as the voice of the People by vote - from the people. A Senator should know this, and know better.

Ever been in a war zone, shot at, volunteer for more after your plane was blown up on a flight deck? Decline to go home TWICE when you could have? Ever take off or land aboard a carrier? All the above takes stones the size of boulders. If you have done ANY of them my hats off to you, they are heroic deeds.

No, one doesn't need to be a hero to be CinC but it doesn't hurt either. Dumbo has done what, coke, crack and reefer oh yes he listened to a racist bigot for 20 years but never heard anything racist from him...until he threw him under the bus that is.

So does raising five kids, putting on a police uniform or running into a burning building to rescue a cat. Those heroes should be qualified to run the Country as well, right? This thread has nothing to do with Senator Obama, and everything to do with who is better qualified on foreign policy matters.

I would have more trust with Biden than with McCain. Yah, Biden can be a motormouth, but he has a lot knowledge and experience with foreign policy. I would much rather have a motormouth than a hot head. A hot head may do more damage and tick more people off. We have seen a hot head tick off many during his administration since 2001..

What part of " No, one doesn't need to be a hero to be CinC but it doesn't hurt either" didn't you grasp? You take the IDIOT that risk his life for a cat, I'll take the one who risk his life for his country.

You're right this doesn't have anything to do with Dumbo and foreign policy matters since he has NONE.

What I find funny is that Democrats are trying to tout Biden as superior to McCain on these issues. While running for the nomination, they completely blew Biden off, no pulse of support at all.

BTW, Biden isn't running against McCain, so the poll really doesn't matter...

Hopefully someone can stop this silliness of people actually considering voting for John McCain!! It is utterly ridiculous that Obama and McCain are head to head in the polls!! Are people really seriously that stupid not to realize that voting for McCain is another 4 years of hell!! Look at the economy and that should be enough!
